Welcome to Coventry schools of Taekwon-Do website

Coventry schools of Taekwon-do is a small group of clubs in the Coventry area dedicated to promoting the martial art of Taekwon-do.

All of our instructors are fully qualified, hold full indemnity insurance and have undergone an enhanced CRB disclosure - you are in safe hands at Coventry schools of Taekwon-do!

Mr Robert Cowley 3rd Degree black belt (senior instructor) and Mr Stuart Pearson 1st Degree black belt have over 20 years experience in Taekwon-do, and have instructed students that have competed in both National and International TaeKwon-Do tournaments!  Mr Cowley and Mr Pearson are both multiple gold medallists and have both also competed nationally and internationally.

About Taekwon-Do

The whole purpose of every instructor within Coventry schools of Taekwon-do is to help their students achieve their ultimate goals in life whether it be fitness, self defence, self esteem or self control, so that the art can continue to flourish in years to come. Hence the saying "you can always do better than you think!".

Taekwon-do is the scientific use of the body in the method of self defence.  A body that has gained the ultimate use of its facilities through intensive physical and mental training. 

Translated from Korean, "TAE" literally means to jump, kick or smash with the foot, "KWON" means to punch or destroy with the hand or fist and "DO" means art, way or method.  Therefore Taekwon-Do means foot, hand, way.
